About the position
Accurate Staffing Consultants is seeking a travel nurse specializing in Gastroenterology for a travel nursing position in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This role involves providing high-quality, evidence-based care to adult post-surgical patients with various gastrointestinal issues. The position requires close post-operative observation and extensive nursing care, including complex wound management and nutritional support.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based care to adult post-surgical patients.
- Monitor and observe patients closely post-operatively.
- Administer IV, central line/PICC line care, and TPN.
- Manage pain and administer blood products as needed.
- Perform extensive complex wound management and nutritional support.
- Care for multiple tubes and drains, including chest tubes and Foley catheters.
- Conduct early aggressive mobilization and pulmonary hygiene.
Requirements
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in nursing.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Experience in gastroenterology nursing preferred.
