About the position
Core Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate travel nurse RN specializing in Hospice care for an assignment in Tallahassee, Florida. This position is designed for a registered nurse who is ready to provide high-quality care to patients in a hospice setting. The role requires a commitment to delivering comfort and support to patients and their families during a critical time in their lives. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, gaining valuable experience while enjoying the flexibility of travel nursing. The assignment is set to start as soon as possible and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, typically consisting of 8-hour shifts. Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate care to hospice patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with daily living activities and provide emotional support.
- Educate patients and families about end-of-life care options and resources.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Florida or compact state.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in hospice or palliative care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Certification in hospice and palliative nursing (CHPN).
- Bilingual skills to communicate with diverse patient populations.
