Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the ICU setting.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and medical history.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of Virginia or compact state.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Previous travel nursing experience is a plus.
  • Specialty certifications in critical care nursing.
