About the position

GrapeTree Medical Staffing LTC is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN specializing in Long Term Care for a travel nursing position in Sparta, Wisconsin. This role is designed for a registered nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care to patients in long-term care settings. The position is set to start on August 26, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 40 hours per week. The shifts will be 8 hours long, primarily in the evenings, allowing for a structured work schedule while providing essential care to residents in various healthcare facilities. As a travel nurse with GrapeTree Medical Staffing, you will be part of a team that has over 20 years of experience in delivering 24/7 staffing solutions to healthcare communities. GrapeTree prides itself on staffing high-quality, experienced Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Registered Nurses (RNs) in 8-13 week travel contracts across nursing homes, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing, and memory care facilities throughout the Midwestern United States. The pay package for this travel nursing position is based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in long-term care settings.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and assess patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
  • Assist with daily living activities and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of Wisconsin or compact state.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care or similar settings.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Certification in geriatric nursing or long-term care nursing.
