About the position
The position is for a Long Term Care Registered Nurse (RN) who will work the PM shift, providing care to patients in a long-term care setting. The role requires a commitment to work every other weekend and holiday, ensuring continuous patient support and care. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care and be proficient in various nursing skills, including IV administration and wound care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a long-term care setting.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with rehabilitation and recovery processes for patients.
- Perform wound care and manage IVs as needed.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
- Current RN state license required.
- BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of long-term care experience required.
- Experience in rehabilitation and wound care preferred.
- Proficiency in EKG/ECG interpretation preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with PICC lines preferred.
- NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute certification preferred.
