About the position
AMN Healthcare Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Medical Surgical for a 13-week assignment in Fountain Valley, California. The role involves providing care for patients with various medical conditions, working 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical unit.
- Assist physicians with special procedures such as wound debridement and chest tube insertion.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Utilize electronic charting systems, specifically Cerner, for patient documentation.
Requirements
- Current California RN license (BLS certification required).
- Experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:5.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Cerner charting system.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
