About the position
The Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position involves providing care to patients in a medical-surgical unit during night shifts. The role requires working three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM, with a rotation that includes every other weekend and holiday. This position is ideal for nurses looking to work in a dynamic environment while enjoying the benefits of travel nursing.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a medical-surgical unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience in a medical-surgical nursing environment.
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
