About the position
eTeam Inc is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Edmonds, Washington. This position involves providing care in a medical-surgical unit, focusing on adult and geriatric patients with various diagnoses, including respiratory failure, cardiac issues, and renal conditions. The role requires a commitment to a 13-week duration with night shifts, specifically 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical unit.
- Float between different units as required, including telemetry and intensive care.
- Administer medications and manage blood products as needed.
- Perform special procedures such as cardioversion, defibrillation, and tracheostomy management.
- Utilize EPIC documentation system for patient records.
- Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias and manage related conditions.
Requirements
- Active or in-process Washington RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Med Surg setting.
- Certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.
- Experience with special procedures and equipment such as PICC lines, central lines, and ventilators.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with EPIC documentation system.
- Previous travel nursing experience.
