As a travel nurse, you will be expected to adapt quickly to new environments and work effectively with diverse teams. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week, over a duration of 13 weeks. Responsibilities
- Assessing and monitoring patient health status and vital signs.
- Developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Educating patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Documenting patient care activities and progress in medical records.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg nursing experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in travel nursing is preferred.
- Previous experience in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
