About the position
The Travel Nurse (RN) Med/Surg specializes in providing care for patients in the Neuroscience Spine Unit, focusing on delivering high-quality healthcare services in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires working night shifts and rotating weekends, with a commitment to collaborating within a team nursing model. Candidates must possess a Minnesota nursing license and have at least one year of medical-surgical neuro experience, along with necessary certifications such as BLS.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients in the Neuroscience Spine Unit.
- Collaborate within a team nursing model to support patient care.
- Work night shifts and rotate weekends and holidays as required.
- Utilize Rapid Response Teams as needed.
- Float to other like units including surgical care, medical units, and inpatient rehab units.
Requirements
- Minnesota nursing license (not a compact state).
- At least 1 year of medical-surgical neuro experience.
- BLS certification required.
- NIHSS certification preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Epic charting system.
- Ability to work in a Magnet, Teaching, Level II Trauma facility.
