About the position

TotalMed Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical / Telemetry for a travel assignment in Winchester, Virginia. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care in a fast-paced environment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during their stay. Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Requirements

• Current RN license in Virginia or compact state.
• Experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Previous travel nursing experience.
