About the position

Triage Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Bridgton, Maine. This position is designed for registered nurses who specialize in providing care for patients with complex medical needs in a progressive care setting. The role involves working 12-hour shifts during the day, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over a duration of 13 weeks, starting on December 18, 2024.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-discharge care.
• Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of Maine or compact state license.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Progressive Care Unit or similar setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Certification in Progressive Care Nursing (PCCN).
