About the position
The position is for a healthcare professional in the Progress Care Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU), responsible for providing care to patients with various acute conditions, including those recovering from cardiac procedures and managing respiratory failures. The role requires floating to other units as needed and involves working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week, including weekends and holiday rotations. Candidates must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients in the Intermediate Care Unit, including those recovering from cardiac procedures.
- Float to other units as needed based on patient care requirements.
- Manage care for patients with respiratory failure, congestive heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias.
- Administer titratable drips and manage high acuity patients with a focus on cardiac care.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, including vaccination requirements.
Requirements
- 2 years of nursing experience required.
- Epic experience required.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
