Coast Medical Service is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in PreOp / PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) for a travel nursing position in Kearney, Nebraska. This role involves providing care to patients before and after anesthesia during surgical procedures. Responsibilities
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care to patients in the PACU.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and recovery progress after anesthesia.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and their families about postoperative care and recovery.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of Nebraska or compact state.
- Experience in PreOp and PACU nursing.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and adapt to varying schedules.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Certification in Post Anesthesia Care Nursing (CPAN).
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
