About the position

As a Stepdown RN, you will provide essential care to patients who require frequent assessment but are not unstable enough for critical care. This role involves monitoring vital signs, detecting changes in patient conditions, administering medications, and delivering hands-on care. Travel nurses in this position will work temporarily at various locations, adapting quickly to new environments while ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients who require frequent assessment but are not in critical condition.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care to patients.
• Detect changes in patient conditions and respond appropriately.
• Work temporarily at various healthcare facilities, adapting to new environments.
• Provide patient care and support during travel assignments.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of recent experience in the primary area of care.
• Active nursing license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states.
• Additional certifications as required by specific facilities or units.
• An enthusiastic and adventurous spirit with a desire to help.
