About the position

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a Travel Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry/PCU for an 8-week assignment in Metairie, LA. The role requires working night shifts and involves floating across multiple units. Candidates must have a valid LA nursing license and relevant experience in MSTele/PCU, along with certifications in BLS, NIH, and ACLS. The position emphasizes the need for strong clinical decision-making skills in a cardiac telemetry environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Telemetry/PCU setting.
• Float across multiple units as required.
• Administer medications and monitor patient vitals.
• Interpret cardiac strips and make clinical decisions regarding medication administration.
• Work 36 hours per week, including weekends and holidays as specified.

Requirements

• Valid LA nursing license.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in MSTele/PCU.
• BLS, NIH, and ACLS certifications required.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
