Voca is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN specializing in Post Partum care for a travel nursing job in Winchester, Massachusetts. This position is designed for registered nurses who are passionate about providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns in a post-partum setting. As a travel nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare environments, gaining valuable clinical experience while exploring new locations across the United States. The role requires a commitment to patient care, with a focus on supporting new mothers during their recovery and transition after childbirth. The position is structured for a duration of 13 weeks, with a start date of September 9, 2024. Nurses will work 36 hours per week, with shifts scheduled for 12 hours during the day. This role also includes working every third weekend, ensuring that you have a balanced work schedule while still meeting the needs of the healthcare facility. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to post-partum patients and their newborns.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Educate new mothers on post-partum care, breastfeeding, and infant care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Respond to patient needs and provide support during their recovery process.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in post-partum nursing or a related specialty.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and every third weekend.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments and work effectively in diverse healthcare settings.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous travel nursing experience.
  • Certification in Maternal-Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
