About the position
Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) for a travel nursing position in Roseville, California. This role is designed for a registered nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care to critically ill children in a fast-paced environment. The position requires a commitment to working 12-hour night shifts, specifically from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, for a total of 36 hours per week over a duration of 13 weeks. The ideal candidate will possess a California nursing license and have at least one year of recent full-time equivalent experience in a pediatric intensive care setting within the last three years. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities.
Requirements
- Current California RN license.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience in PICU within the last 3 years.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
