About the position

Talent4Health is seeking a dedicated and experienced travel nurse RN specializing in Post Partum care for a travel nursing position in Winchester, Massachusetts. This role is designed for a professional who is ready to take on the challenges of a travel nursing job, providing high-quality care to patients in a Post Partum setting. The position is set to start on August 12, 2024, and will last for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The shifts are 12 hours long and are flexible, allowing for a rotating schedule that includes working every third weekend. As a travel nurse, you will be expected to bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role, particularly in Post Partum and Mother & Baby care. Candidates should have at least 2 years of current experience in these areas, along with a strong background in couplet care. The ideal candidate will possess certifications in ACLS and BLS from the American Heart Association, and must hold an active RN license in Massachusetts. Additionally, compliance with health regulations is crucial, as candidates must provide proof of COVID vaccinations, including a booster, and a recent flu shot within the past year. Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality nursing care to Post Partum patients.
  • Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on post-partum care and recovery.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of current experience in Post Partum and Mother & Baby care.
  • Active RN license in Massachusetts.
  • ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA.
  • Proof of COVID vaccinations and recent flu shot (within the past year).
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including every third weekend.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in couplet care.
  • Previous travel nursing experience.
