QS Nurses is seeking a dedicated and skilled travel nurse RN specializing in Post Partum care for a travel nursing job in Winchester, Massachusetts. This position is designed for a registered nurse who is passionate about providing exceptional care to new mothers and their infants during the critical post-partum period. The role requires a compassionate and knowledgeable professional who can support families as they transition into parenthood, ensuring both physical and emotional well-being. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring patients' recovery, providing education on infant care, and assisting with breastfeeding and other post-partum needs. The travel nurse will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in various healthcare settings while enjoying the flexibility of travel nursing. The successful candidate will be expected to adapt quickly to new environments and demonstrate strong clinical skills in post-partum nursing. This travel nursing position is set to start on August 26, 2024, and will last for a duration of 11 weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours per week. The shifts will be 12 hours long, primarily during the day, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined, making this an attractive opportunity for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive post-partum care to new mothers and their infants.
  • Monitor patients' recovery and vital signs.
  • Educate families on infant care and breastfeeding techniques.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Document patient progress and any changes in condition.

Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Experience in post-partum nursing.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, primarily during the day.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new environments quickly.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Maternal-Newborn Nursing (RNC-MNN) is preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are a plus.
  • Previous travel nursing experience.
