About the position

Focus Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Winchester, Massachusetts. This position is for a Certified Labor & Delivery RN who will be responsible for assessing, implementing or delegating, planning, and evaluating total nursing care in accordance with established philosophy. The role involves providing and directing patient care for a group of patients, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care across shifts and departments. The nurse will also provide clinical supervision for entry-level nurses and assist in their professional development. This is a contract assignment lasting 13 weeks, with a flexible schedule of 36 hours per week, typically in 12-hour shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, a compassionate demeanor, and the ability to think critically and act swiftly in emergencies. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience as a Labor & Delivery RN and be committed to providing quality care in a professional manner.

• Developing, implementing, and evaluating the nursing plan of care.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a Labor & Delivery RN (Certified Labor & Delivery RN).
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Ability to perform routine duties independent of supervision but consult with others as required.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward work and others.
• Strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
