About the position
Anders Group is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) for a travel nursing position in Oxnard, California. This role involves providing high-quality care to critically ill newborns in a fast-paced environment, ensuring their health and safety during their stay in the NICU. The position is for a duration of 13 weeks, with a commitment of 36 hours per week on night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate families on care procedures and health management for their newborns.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Requirements
- Current RN license in California.
- Experience in NICU nursing is required.
- BLS and NRP certifications are mandatory.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous travel nursing experience.
- Certification in Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing (RNC-NIC).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
