About the position
Assured Nursing is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist for a travel position in Shiprock, New Mexico. This role is designed for a professional who is ready to take on the challenges of a travel assignment, providing pharmaceutical care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The position is full-time, requiring the Pharmacist to work 40 hours per week, specifically from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with an 8-hour shift structure. The ideal candidate will have a current state license as a Pharmacist and a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a similar role. This travel assignment is expected to last for a duration of 26 weeks, offering a unique opportunity to gain experience in a different setting while providing essential services to the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide pharmaceutical care to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
- Review and interpret physician orders to ensure safe and effective medication therapy.
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Educate patients and healthcare staff on medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust medication therapy as necessary in collaboration with healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and patient interactions.
Requirements
- Current state license as a Pharmacist.
- At least 2 years of recent experience as a Pharmacist.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on an 8-hour shift schedule.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
