About the position

Magnet Medical is seeking a travel Physical Therapist to provide essential rehabilitation services in Sarasota, Florida. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities, focusing on restoring mobility, managing pain, and enhancing the quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions. This position is a travel role, requiring flexibility and adaptability to different clinical environments over a 13-week duration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient evaluations to assess physical abilities, range of motion, strength, coordination, and overall mobility.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient conditions, goals, and progress.
• Implement various physical therapy interventions, including strengthening exercises, range of motion exercises, and manual therapy.
• Educate patients on proper posture, movement techniques, and body mechanics to prevent future injuries.
• Provide guidance and support to patients performing exercises in the clinic and at home.
• Educate patients on the importance of following their prescribed physical therapy regimen.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Regularly assess patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting evaluations and treatments.
• Develop and implement injury prevention programs to reduce the risk of future injuries.

Requirements

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Experience in evaluating and treating patients with physical impairments or disabilities.
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy techniques and modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate and support patients.

• Experience in a travel physical therapy role.
