About the position

The Travel Radiology Tech specializes in Interventional Radiology, working day shifts for a 40-hour week with on-call responsibilities. This role requires expertise in advanced procedures and the operation of specialized equipment in a Magnet Certified short-term acute care facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced interventional radiology procedures including angioplasty, catheter placement, and various biopsies.
• Operate C-arm equipment, specifically the Philips Azurion and portable C-arm.
• Scrub for interventional radiology, vascular, and pain procedures.
• Monitor patients and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias during procedures.
• Maintain a sterile field and prepare access sites for procedures.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as required.

Requirements

• MD License
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology
• Certifications: RT-R ARRT, ACLS, BLS
• Experience with advanced procedures such as stent placement, thrombolysis, and central venous access.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with computed tomography and ultrasound
• Ability to perform IV starts
