Travel Radiology Technician - $2,916 per week

About the position

The position involves performing a variety of diagnostic procedures in a pediatric setting under the direction of the Radiology Manager and Diagnostic Team Leader. The role requires technical expertise and competency in operating radiographic equipment to ensure optimal imaging and patient care. The technologist will be responsible for maintaining patient records, adhering to safety guidelines, and providing training to new staff and students.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures with technical expertise and competency.
• Understand daily operations of all radiographic equipment and departmental flow.
• Provide optimal diagnostic imaging and radiation safety for diagnostic interpretation.
• Select appropriate technical factors and operate all imaging equipment as directed.
• Orient and train Radiology students and new employees.
• Maintain records in accordance with hospital and regulatory policy.
• Ensure proper identification on all exam records and images.
• Maintain HIPAA regulations and policies regarding patient information.
• Adhere to federal and state radiation safety guidelines and regulations.
• Document and record the Dose Area Product (DAP).
• Promote professionalism, continuing education, and staff development.
• Participate in the formal in-service program governed by the Radiology Department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Pediatric experience required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Siemens experience required.

• Intermediate knowledge of all forms of diagnostic imaging.
