About the position

The Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse (PICU RN) is responsible for providing specialized care to children and adolescents facing life-threatening or high-acuity conditions. This role involves constant monitoring of critically ill patients in a high-tech environment, collaborating with families and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for children and adolescents with life-threatening or high-acuity conditions.
• Monitor patients constantly in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
• Collaborate with families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to determine the best course of patient care.
• Assist in post-surgical care and management of medically complex patients.

Requirements

• Current RN License
• Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Nursing
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Experience with high-acuity pediatric patients
• Knowledge of pediatric pharmacology
