About the position

Health Advocates Network - Midwest is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a travel position in Medford, Oregon. This role is crucial for providing high-quality respiratory care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy services to patients, particularly in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in acute care, specifically with neonates, and will be expected to perform essential procedures such as intubation and resuscitation. Responsibilities

  • Provide respiratory care to patients in the NICU and other acute care settings.
  • Perform intubation and resuscitation procedures on neonates.
  • Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and adjust treatments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment usage.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an AMA approved Respiratory Care program.
  • At least 2 years of recent acute care experience, specifically in NICU.
  • Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensure in the applicable state (Oregon).
  • American Heart Association BLS and PALS for Health Care Providers certifications.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
  • Additional certifications may be required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with advanced respiratory care techniques.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
