ALOIS Healthcare is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a position in Madison, Wisconsin. This role is designed for allied health professionals specializing in respiratory therapy, with a focus on assisting patients who experience breathing difficulties. In addition to routine care, respiratory therapists are also trained to provide emergency aid for critical situations including breathing problems, heart attacks, drowning incidents, and shock. The position is structured as a travel job, requiring the therapist to work 12-hour night shifts, totaling 36 hours per week over a duration of 13 weeks, starting on September 16, 2024. The pay package is competitive and based on the 12-hour shifts, with a tax-free stipend that will be determined upon confirmation. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with breathing difficulties due to chronic respiratory diseases.
- Provide emergency aid for breathing problems, heart attacks, drowning, and shock.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory health and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Requirements
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Wisconsin.
- Experience in inpatient respiratory therapy settings.
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
