Trinity Health FirstChoice is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Syracuse, New York. Responsibilities
- Perform various therapeutic procedures including advanced practice procedures such as operating balloon pumps and working in NICU.
- Participate in orientation of staff and student training programs.
- Provide professional leadership in the delivery of patient care.
- Use AIDET principles when interfacing with patients.
- Maintain confidentiality of information according to HIPAA guidelines.
- Ensure treatments are provided in accordance with physician orders and approved medical protocols.
- Suggest changes in therapies based on clinical assessment of patient situations.
- Maintain safe respiratory therapy practices and alert management of any safety issues.
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist with a valid license in the state of New York.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
- Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations.
- Ability to complete orientation and training.
Nice-to-haves
- EPIC experience preferred.
- Experience with Sleep Apnea.
