About the position

The HVAC Sheet Metal Installer position at Aerotek involves the installation of ductwork and sheet metal for industrial projects. The role requires a skilled individual with experience in HVAC systems, particularly with rooftop units and various duct sizes. The installer will be responsible for reading blueprints, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety standards while working on-site in Columbus, Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Layout and install sheet metal and/or duct systems.
• Read blueprints and interpret specifications to determine installation locations.
• Assist with the assembly and installation of HVAC equipment including duct/sheet metal, rooftop units, curbs, louvers, and hangers.
• Maintain equipment in good working order and ensure timely maintenance.
• Follow all OSHA and TPMC safety standards.
• Offload deliveries and load trucks at job sites.

Requirements

• Experience with setting curbs, hanging ducts, installing sheet metal, and setting rooftop units.
• Ability to read blueprints to determine installation locations.
• Boom/scissor lift training/certification.
• Own hand tools including wrench, pliers, channel locks, vice grips, impact drill, 9/16ths sockets with impact adapter, screwdrivers.
• Cut level 3 gloves required.
• OSHA 10 or higher certification.

Nice-to-haves

• 2-5+ years of experience with installing louvers, setting rooftop equipment, rigging, ductwork/sheet metal.
• Journeyman card is preferred.
• Valid license and reliable vehicle.
• OSHA 30, rigging, construction, commercial construction, industrial construction.
