About the position
Aureus Medical Group - Nursing is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a 16-week assignment in Salem, Virginia. This role involves providing surgical support in a multi-hospital system, ensuring the operating room is prepared for procedures and assisting the surgical team. The position requires a commitment to patient care and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgeries.
- Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations in the operating room.
Requirements
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Experience as a Surgical Technologist in a clinical setting.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment (50-100 lbs).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous travel experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Familiarity with various surgical procedures and instruments.
