About the position

Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Winchester, Virginia. As a travel Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of a dynamic team in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital with 455 beds, where you will have the opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center. The role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. You will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, monitoring patients' responses, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of the examination rooms. This position offers a unique chance to explore new locations while advancing your career in medical imaging. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, typically during the day shift. Responsibilities

  • Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
  • Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
  • Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
  • Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
  • Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post-procedure depending on unit.
  • Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
  • Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
  • Transports patients as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • One to three years experience as a Sonographer preferred.
  • Other certifications may be required for this position.
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
  • PC skills.
  • Physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50-100lbs), including pushing, pulling, and bending.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Epic charting system.
  • Additional certifications in ultrasound technology.
