Fusion Medical Staffing-Radiology is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a travel job in Winchester, Virginia. As a travel Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of a dynamic team in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital with 455 beds, where you will have the opportunity to work in a Level II Trauma Center. You will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures, monitoring patients' responses, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of the examination rooms. The assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks, with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week, typically during the day shift. Responsibilities

• Communicates and collaborates with physicians and other health team members.
• Provides and coordinates patient care with other health team members.
• Monitors patients' responses to interventions and reports outcomes.
• Administers medications as ordered with appropriate documentation.
• Monitors and evaluates patients before, during, and post-procedure depending on unit.
• Shares on-call responsibilities with a 30-minute response time if required.
• Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies.
• Transports patients as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One to three years experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• Other certifications may be required for this position.
• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• PC skills.
• Physical abilities to remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50-100lbs), including pushing, pulling, and bending.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Epic charting system.
• Additional certifications in ultrasound technology.
