The Ultrasound Technician position requires a skilled professional to provide ultrasound services across various settings, including Emergency Department (ED) and Inpatient units such as Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Labor & Delivery (L&D), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The technician will be responsible for performing a range of ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics. The role demands a high level of competency in general imaging ultrasound, venous extremity assessments, neonatal head ultrasounds, Biophysical Profiles, and limited obstetric procedures. The technician will be expected to manage a daily caseload of 10-15 patients, utilizing three ultrasound rooms. The work schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts from 9 PM to 7 AM, with the first week requiring a shift from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no weekend or on-call requirements for this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in ultrasound technology, with proficiency in using Epic and PACS systems. In addition to the required skills, the technician should be familiar with various ultrasound procedures, including general, abdomen, OB/Gyn, and renal/pelvis assessments. Experience with vascular procedures such as Doppler studies and upper/lower extremity venous assessments is also necessary. Preferred experience includes high-risk obstetrics, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and familiarity with Siemens and Acuon equipment. This position is crucial for delivering high-quality imaging services to a diverse patient population, ensuring accurate diagnostics and patient care.
