About the position

The Field Support Specialist (FSS) role is designed for experienced Veterinary Technicians who are looking to transition from traditional clinic settings to a dynamic field support position. This role involves extensive travel, providing installation, onboarding, training, and ongoing support for veterinary diagnostic products. The FSS is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction through effective relationship management and technical support, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support field sales activity by providing installation, onboarding, and training for veterinary diagnostic products.
  • Manage customer relations and education post-sale, coordinating installations and training sessions.
  • Perform physical installations of diagnostic systems and ensure client concerns are addressed.
  • Conduct applications and use training for customers on all products and services.
  • Follow up on IHD system installations, identifying and resolving gaps in the process.
  • Provide ongoing assistance and on-location support for customers.
  • Coordinate phone and online support as part of the training process.
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues to enhance customer self-sufficiency.
  • Communicate product issues and potential improvements to the organization.
  • Collaborate with sales and technical support teams to address clinic needs.
  • Log all customer-related activities in the corporate database.
  • Prepare and convey technical information through departmental procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant technical experience with demonstrated success.
  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine preferred.
  • Experience with IHD diagnostics, including collection, preparation, and testing.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software.
  • Knowledge of basic computer networks and components.

Nice-to-haves

  • In-house diagnostics utilization, installation, and training experience preferred.
  • Experience in training or public speaking for at least 2 years.
  • Ability to shift focus efficiently during heavy workloads.
