About the position

The Traveling Business Office Manager at Aspire Health Group is responsible for overseeing the business office functions in skilled nursing facilities, particularly during vacancies. This role involves managing billing processes, training new managers, and collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient revenue cycle operations. The position emphasizes a resident and family-focused approach, aiming to foster a positive facility culture.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as interim Business Office Manager (BOM) for care centers with BOM vacancies.
  • Coordinate training of new BOMs with care center and regional teams.
  • Work on special projects related to Revenue Cycle, including accounts receivable resolution and resident trust reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate billing records in the accounts receivable system.
  • Manage front end collections of A/R balances due from residents while in-house.
  • Handle back end collections of A/R balances due from residents after discharge.
  • Monitor Medicaid pending accounts for resolution with state or outside vendor.
  • Oversee month-end closing of billing system.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations and company policy regarding resident trust accounting.
  • Attend care center meetings as required by the BOM position.
  • Generate accurate claims for billing systems for all payers.
  • Provide additional billing information to clear claim edits and rejections for the Central Billing Office.
  • Coordinate responses to various audit requests.
  • Assist new BOMs with month-end closing and special projects as needed.
  • Conduct exit meetings with care center Executive Directors to review interim assignment results.
  • Provide weekly reports to district and regional teams recapping interim assignment results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of two years experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office setting with billing/collecting and patient trust accounting experience.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility business office setting.
  • Point Click Care (PCC) billing system experience preferred.
  • National Data Care Resident Funds Management System (RFMS) experience preferred.
