About the position
The Traveling Chef Manager at Eurest is responsible for overseeing the culinary and food service operations within corporate dining environments. This role involves managing inventory, ordering, menu development, and ensuring high-quality food service delivery. The Chef Manager will lead a team to provide exceptional dining experiences while focusing on sustainability and local sourcing of food products.
Responsibilities
- Full culinary management of food service operation including inventory, ordering, and receiving.
- Menu development with a focus on cost controls and local food sourcing.
- Ensure P&L accountability and manage contract-managed services effectively.
- Lead and train culinary staff to deliver high-quality meals and service.
- Maintain knowledge of food and catering trends, sanitation, and food presentation.
Requirements
- Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining, or restaurant settings.
- Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
- Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality and cost controls.
- Experience with exposition cooking and managing inventory and purchasing.
Nice-to-haves
- ServSafe certification is a plus.
- Passion for sustainability in food sourcing and operations.
