About the position

As a Traveling Electrical Journeyman at CEC Companies, you will be responsible for performing commercial and industrial electrical work, including installation, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety guidelines, as well as the ability to analyze blueprints and schematics. You will work closely with foremen and other electricians to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while also mentoring Apprentice Electricians.

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and drawings of electrical systems for proper installation.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on specifications and codes.
• Prepare work area and ensure necessary tools and materials are available.
• Connect wiring and equipment per code and job specifications.
• Inspect electrical systems and components for compliance and safety.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems, making necessary repairs.
• Monitor and guide Apprentice Electricians in their work.
• Participate in meetings and training as assigned.
• Document activities and log information as required.

Requirements

• Current Journeyman Electrician License (must be licensed in TX or reciprocal state).
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Excellent knowledge of Building Codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in industrial construction.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and night shifts.
