The Traveling Project Technician position is crucial for the success of both new and returning customer projects, allowing individuals to kickstart their careers in the IT field. This role is designed for motivated individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the IT industry. As a Traveling Project Technician, you will be responsible for visiting dental offices across the United States to enhance and maintain their IT infrastructure. This position requires a strong understanding of networking and computer systems, as well as the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively. You will serve as the face of InTech to our clients, necessitating excellent communication skills to ensure that projects are completed successfully and that client needs are met. The role involves not only technical skills but also the ability to work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with clients throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will possess a willingness to travel extensively, as this position requires approximately 75% travel both in and out of the state of Utah. You will engage in various projects, which may last from two to three days, focusing on building and improving the IT infrastructure of dental offices. Responsibilities

  • Travel to different dental offices and complete projects as scheduled
  • Troubleshoot possible network problems and help suggest solutions
  • Communicate and work with team members to coordinate efforts to support clients
  • Engage in possible 2-3 day projects for building an entire IT infrastructure at a new or converting dental office
  • Maintain effective client communication prior to, during, and post projects

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of help desk experience
  • 1 year of network hardware installation experience
  • 1 year of onsite IT service experience
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to learn through research, technical certification, and on-the-job training
  • Working knowledge of computers, server, and network systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills

Nice-to-haves

  • 2-3 years of network installation experience
  • Prior onsite IT working experience
  • Certifications in the IT field
