About The Position

The Traveling Journeyman Electrician at Encore Electric, Inc. is responsible for directing the tasks of Apprentices and potentially other Journeymen electricians while participating in commercial electrical construction and service work. This role requires a Journeyman's License in Wyoming and involves a commitment to safety, quality work, and leadership in training apprentices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred.
• Journeyman Wireman's license from the State of Wyoming or reciprocating State required.
• 576 Classroom Hours required through the State of Wyoming to reciprocate your license.
• Four years of apprenticeship training or three years of apprenticeship training with a two-year degree from a technical college preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in commercial electrical construction.
• Knowledge of the national electrical code.
• Familiarity with electrical formulas for calculations.

Responsibilities

• Direct tasks of Apprentices and other Journeymen electricians.
• Participate in commercial electrical construction and service work.
• Assist Apprentices in completing Apprenticeship Paperwork.
• Lay out and organize assigned tasks to apprentices.
• Ensure safety, quality control, and productivity on the job site.
• Install raceway, pull wire, and mount equipment, training apprentices to do the same.
• Read and understand basic blueprints.
• Plan materials and tools needed to complete the job.
