About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinician to join our PASO Home Study/Post Release Services Program in Phoenix, AZ, which is part of Rite of Passage. This role is crucial in providing intensive in-home case management services to children and their families, particularly those seeking safety from persecution and those who have been separated due to conflict. Our mission is to advocate for compassion and justice for all migrants, and this position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable children who arrive unaccompanied in the United States. As a Clinician, you will be responsible for conducting weekly in-home family visits, utilizing a trauma-informed approach to stabilize or resolve special circumstances faced by the families. You will develop individualized plans for each child, identifying their specific needs and connecting them with community-based services. Your role will also involve documenting and assessing the effectiveness of interventions to ensure that treatment objectives and goals are met. This position may require travel to remote areas as needed, emphasizing the importance of flexibility and adaptability in your work. Responsibilities

  • Provide intensive in-home case management services to children and their families.
  • Conduct ongoing in-home family visits weekly in accordance with ORR P&P.
  • Develop individualized plans for children, identifying specific needs and seeking community-based services.
  • Document and assess the effectiveness of interventions toward meeting treatment plan objectives and goals.
  • Travel to remote areas as needed for home visits.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other social service field with a focus on child and adolescent development.
  • License eligible to practice in the relevant field.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with child welfare programs.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect families to services.
  • Excellent clinical and crisis intervention skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Critical assessment and analysis skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively, multi-task, and work independently.
  • Ability to conduct home visits up to 70% of the time.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with refugee or immigrant children is preferred.
  • Cross-cultural or international experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
