About the position

The Traveling Mechanic position at Aerotek involves working on diesel engines, generators, and compressors, primarily in a field and shop environment. Responsibilities

• Assembling mechanical components
• Conducting diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues
• Designing and implementing maintenance plans for upgrades and replacements
• Maintaining detailed work logs and records of repairs and maintenance
• Managing inventory and ordering new parts as needed
• Performing equipment and machinery assessments to proactively identify potential issues
• Adhering to safety policies, standards, and procedures, and reporting incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately

Requirements

• Expertise with diesel engines, generators, or compressors
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills
• Electrical diagnostics proficiency
• Computer literacy for record-keeping
