About the position

The Traveling Construction Project Manager at Reich Installation Services is responsible for overseeing the installation of large automation projects, particularly in conveyor installation. This role requires hands-on involvement and effective management of on-site teams to ensure high-quality and efficient installation services. The Project Manager will act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, coordinating with customers and internal teams to deliver results within budget and on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage project teams to facilitate smooth operations for all aspects of automation projects.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all assigned projects, providing leadership and direction to team members.
  • Develop and manage multiple, concurrent project schedules, monitoring daily progress to stay aligned with the work plan.
  • Regularly update executive management and project team members on project status, schedules, and any emerging issues.
  • Monitor and maintain the financial health of projects to remain within budget.
  • Identify and proactively remove obstacles to keep project momentum, balancing and competing priorities to meet milestones and drive results.
  • Coordinate and follow up on open issues to achieve timely resolutions.
  • Foster strong communication across all levels of the project team to close gaps in communication and scheduling.
  • Track and achieve project milestones and technical deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of project management experience, preferably with a background in conveyor installation or automation projects.
  • Prior experience managing people or processes, with a focus on effective team and project management.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, understand the product development lifecycle, and apply process management techniques.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external partners.
  • Ability to remove obstacles, keep project momentum, and resolve issues in a proactive and organized manner.
  • Willingness to be directly involved in installations tasks when necessary.

  • Experience in the automation industry.
