About the position

The Treasury Analyst position at Oglethorpe Power offers an opportunity to join a high-impact team responsible for managing cash flow and investment activities within a capital-intensive corporation. The role involves maintaining treasury operations and controls, including government loan administration, cash flow management, banking, insurance, and investment activities, while collaborating with various internal departments.

Responsibilities

• Process ACH and wire payments.
• Review outgoing payments.
• Enter investment activity into the treasury online workstation.
• Maintain bank statements.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash and liquidity reports.
• Prepare monthly reports for accounting.
• Maintain SOX-compliant Treasury policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and reports that comply with Treasury-related Board policies and other corporate compliance deliverables.
• Assist with information as requested by external auditors.
• Prepare Rural Utilities Service loan advance documentation.
• Assist with researching government loan regulations.
• Assist with corporate insurance program including invoice processing, corporate budget entry, and periodic reporting.
• Organize department-shared network drive.
• Use continuous improvement tools to maximize the effectiveness of all processes.
• Interact and collaborate with internal customers such as Accounting, Planning, Supply Chain, and Internal Audit.
• Collaborate and consult with peers and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
• Perform other related tasks and assignments as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields.
• 3+ years of full-time Treasury experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• CTP or CTP candidate is a plus.
