About the position

The Treasury Analyst at Ecumen is responsible for managing cash tracking and bank reconciliation to support the organization's operational needs. This role includes backing up the Treasury Manager in daily cash management activities and other treasury functions, with a focus on maximizing liquidity and mitigating financial risks. The position offers the flexibility of remote work and is part of a team dedicated to advocating for older adults.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily bank file and participate in daily cash receipts and outflow.
  • Reconcile consolidated bank accounts regularly and ensure all transactions are accounted for monthly.
  • Coordinate with various departments to resolve discrepancies and administer general ledger adjustments.
  • Manage resident ACH pulls and transfers, resolving check and ACH returns as necessary.
  • Oversee the positive pay process and address any issues that arise.
  • Assist with setting up supplier bank branches for ACH within the ERM system.
  • Manage the ERM cash management consolidated account and activities to ensure accurate cash processes.
  • Assist external auditors and coordinate preparation of audit confirmations.
  • Provide backup to the Treasury Manager for forecasting models and analyze daily cash positions.
  • Review consolidated bank activities to prevent fraud and resolve cash-related discrepancies promptly.
  • Support relationships with commercial bankers and participate in discussions regarding treasury activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in an accounting analytical role.
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning systems (ERP) and related technologies.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong documentation, research, and resolution skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis and multi-tasking.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and drive operational initiatives.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, and multi-IF formulas).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to deal effectively with management and external contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and process enhancements.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
