About the position

The position involves working as a technology business consultant within the FIS Quantum team, focusing on treasury and risk management solutions. The role requires implementing projects, serving as a liaison between clients and consultants, and ensuring that client needs are met through effective system design and enhancements. The consultant will analyze industry trends, define product requirements, and lead testing efforts to ensure application integrity. This role is remote and requires significant travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

  • Implement assigned projects across all functional areas of Treasury.
  • Work individually or within a team on technology business consulting projects to meet specific client requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between end-users and consultants during consulting projects.
  • Research and document client needs, technology, or regulations related to system design and enhancements.
  • Define product scope, objectives, and requirements, including specifications and data models for product development and testing.
  • Analyze marketplace, industry, company, technology trends, and best practices.
  • Devise and modify processes and procedures to achieve greater efficiencies and solve complex technical problems.
  • Assess available technologies and recommend solutions to the consulting team.
  • Write test plans and test cases to ensure enhancements meet client needs and maintain application integrity.
  • Conduct various tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests using client data.
  • Influence clients and business partners regarding priorities and vendor selection.
  • Consult directly with clients and may travel to client sites.
  • Act as team leader for technical aspects of consulting projects, leading sub-plans or small projects.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced business systems analysts and technology business consultants.
  • Train client and technical support personnel on enhancements and new systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of FIS products and services and the financial services industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of multiple end-to-end systems development life cycles.
  • Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines through UML and use cases.
  • Excellent customer service skills to build high levels of satisfaction for clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with a Treasury Workstation.
  • Experience with FIS Quantum Treasury is preferred.
  • Implementation and requirements gathering skills.
