About the position

The Treasury Director at Kraton plays a crucial role in enhancing earnings and maximizing cash flow by managing the company's capital structure, cash conversion cycle, and financial risk exposure. This position involves leading and developing the Treasury team while ensuring efficient and compliant treasury operations. The Treasury Director will also interact with banking relationships and prepare presentations for the Board and Credit Rating Agencies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee treasury operations including daily cash management, liquidity management, and internal/external reporting.
• Evaluate capital structure and weighted average cost of capital continuously, driving balance sheet efficiency and leading all debt financing and refinancing activities.
• Manage credit risk by reviewing and approving credit lines, bad debt reserves, collections, and cash application.
• Innovate strategies for managing risks related to balance sheet, capital structure, financing, foreign exchange, interest rates, and commodity exposures.
• Recommend and lead execution of short-term and long-term hedging strategies aligned with the company's financial objectives.
• Assist the CFO in capital allocation and financial planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
• Manage banking relationships for cash management, capital markets, and risk management teams.
• Prepare capital markets presentations for the Board, Audit Committee, and Credit Rating Agencies.
• Evaluate and manage risk loss exposures that may affect earnings volatility through various instruments in line with organizational risk appetite.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Treasury, Insurance, and Cash management.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant Finance experience.
• Experience in other Finance areas such as FP&A, Accounting, or Tax is a plus.
• Proficiency in data management and software packages including SAP and Microsoft Office.
• Self-directed with strong attention to detail and independent judgment.
• Proven experience leading and sustaining high-performing teams in a matrix organization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Treasury certification or MBA/CPA/CMA is a plus.
• International experience is a plus.
