About the position

The Treasury Liquidity Associate is a key member of TD's Treasury & Balance Sheet Management (TBSM) team, responsible for executing various aspects of the liquidity risk framework for TD's consolidated US operations. This role involves monitoring and managing liquidity risk across legal entities and business segments, providing financial analysis, planning, and reporting support. The position requires collaboration with key stakeholders and offers opportunities for specialized financial consulting and analytical support.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage liquidity risk across legal entities and business segments.
  • Provide planning, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis support for assigned lines of business.
  • Conduct complex financial analysis and develop specialized analytical tools.
  • Lead activities of the unit, assigning and prioritizing work.
  • Resolve escalated issues and provide training for new staff.
  • Develop and analyze key metrics and plan variances.
  • Compile and generate ad-hoc analytical reports.
  • Research and review business operating metrics to identify new opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or progressive work experience in finance or related field.
  • 5-7 years of related experience in financial analysis and model-building.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial analysis techniques and methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make decisions based on business objectives.
  • Practical knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience or knowledge of Liquidity Management or Treasury function within a financial services setting.
  • Understanding of liquidity risk management and key liquidity regulations such as Reg YY, FR 2052a, LCR, and NSFR.
