The Application Engineer is responsible for organizing, modifying, and supporting assigned retail or commercial banking platforms. This role involves designing, modifying, and implementing reports, dashboards, workflows, and other items as needed. The Application Engineer works directly with end-users to coach and teach them how to best utilize systems, ensuring that the design of the system allows all components to work properly together. This position also supports other technology initiatives as needed, enhancing operational efficiency by reviewing processes and troubleshooting problems reported by users. The engineer will make recommendations for future upgrades and assist with maintaining, installing, and deploying system component upgrades as needed. Additionally, the role requires analyzing and isolating issues, evaluating and modifying system performance, and identifying end-user needs and areas of opportunity for efficiencies and optimization. The Application Engineer will maintain the integrity of assigned systems and evaluate and implement new technology and system improvements as needed, creating and monitoring support cases with vendors supporting lines of business, and partnering appropriately with other IT departments to address any needs. Training staff on upgrades and new software/hardware is also a key responsibility.
