About the position

The Treasury Management Consultant at Umpqua Bank is responsible for providing consultative treasury management solutions to business clients. This role involves sales support for new treasury management business, developing sales plans, and collaborating with Relationship Managers to onboard new clients. The consultant will also monitor industry trends and assist in the development of new product solutions while ensuring compliance with bank regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a consultative approach to business clients to identify treasury management solutions.
  • Develop sales plans for existing customers and new business prospects.
  • Present consultative working cash flow presentations to prospects and existing clients.
  • Coordinate client/prospect sales calls with Relationship Managers and Technical Solutions Consultant.
  • Partner with business lines to implement new solutions for clients.
  • Lead consultative conversations with customers to define solutions that meet their goals.
  • Facilitate the implementation and structure of new and existing services.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive practices related to treasury management.
  • Assist Product managers in developing new product solutions and enhancing existing products.
  • Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations and complete required training.
  • Maintain knowledge of Bank's policies regarding Bank Secrecy Act and other regulations.
  • May coach, mentor, or train others as a subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Marketing, Business or related fields.
  • 4-7 years of experience in treasury management sales, service, and/or support.
  • Knowledge of bank payment systems and treasury management solutions.
  • Understanding of sales principles and practices for marketing treasury management solutions.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales planning within assigned territory.
  • Ability to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Experience managing commercial account relationships and consulting on best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and industry-specific software.
